I didn't mind at the time being that we would be arriving to check in shortly, until we received a phone call from the work crew and suddenly (as ive noticed with this line of work) changed location and we were heading to Florida and no longer need the room.
typically hotels Authorize the first night which is understandable, but this was a actual charge for the entire stay. shortly after making reservation with Rye, I received notification that my card was charged for $276.00 ( which was the agreed upon rate for the 3 days i had booked it for). I asked very clearly if I decide to check out or cancel will i be charged, Rye said no. Hotels in this area for this time are VERY hard to come by, So i booked it. He advised me that he has a king N/S avail for $79. My Husband was working with the hurricane guys in this area for the recent storm Laura,Marco, That affected this area.
